At Feeding Our Communities Partners (FOCP), our largest operational cost is purchasing child-friendly, shelf-stable food. Since 2019, our cost per student served has risen by $50 per enrollee. Despite universal school meals being available to students during the week, FOCP services remain to provide consistent access to food over weekends and school breaks.
This is why we have set out to raise $50,000 during our year-end campaign to combat rising food costs and inflation. We aim to ensure our services never lapse and, instead, adapt to fit the changing needs of our students. Despite many challenges, our mission is to maintain our open enrollment policy throughout the year and avoid capping the number of students served. Where there is a need, there is a way, and our commitment is to seamlessly provide our services to ensure youth have adequate fuel so they can be the best versions of themselves, no matter their current circumstances. Your direct donation to Feeding Our Communities Partners will support purchasing food and supplies to keep our food programs running.
