BackPack Food Program for Elementary Students
When school is in session, children can receive breakfast and lunch at school. But when school dismisses for weekends or extend school breaks, adequate access to regular and well-balanced meals is not always readily available.
That's where the BackPack Food Program steps in...
Privately funded by grants and community donations, the BackPack Food Program provides healthy, well-balanced meals in small bags. The bags are given to the student's teachers to be discreetly placed into the child's backpack when they are at recess or away from their lockers.
Student enrollment is very simple and open year-round.
Power Packs for Middle School Students
In the fall of 2016, FOCP began a pilot program with Power Packs, a supplemental snack for middle school students who may be lacking adequate nutrition between school and after-school activities.
